Help help! Question about springs and shocks and coilovers

Hey sifu sifu! I'm new here and I'm thinking of lowering my ride a bit with springs on stock shocks but I read In a lot of places that this isn't that good. But I'm a cheapskate that can't really afford coilovers. I want your opinion guys on how I should proceed. Ty

Just go for the lowering springs like Eibach or H&R. They have been made for the BMW OEM suspensions (best to check the right part number).
