help E36 wing mirror repair

Hi ALL,The perils of driving in KL traffic jams. Driver side wing mirrors smashed by passing motorcyclist.My ride 1996 E36 325i manual with origional M-Tech body kit. Wing mirrors are Ori M TechThe image shows the extensive damage.The mirror housing was left dangling (held by the cable)There is 3 protruding "studs" on the housing. Tried pushing the housing back into the body panel. Only 1 of the 3 "studs" could be secured.The mirror definately needs to be replaced. Most of the brackets on the rear are missingQuestions:1) can the wing mirror be "saved"2) any suggested repair shops3) if need to buy, cost of used (if available) or brand new 4) where to buy replacement mirrorHope wing mirrors can be saved. If your mirror is not cracked, I think it can be fixed...its actually just a clip on to the motor (correct me if i'm wrong)
Try dropping by one of the BMW service specialist and ask them to help u clip it back.
If the mirror is broken, then youl will have to go get one lor...
I think it will cost about RM250- RM300? Not sure... dont buy it at the service centre cuz they will slaughter u for sure.
