hi all, my battery has just died (i think), when i try to start the car, i only hear a loud click and nothing happens. However my car lights are still working, so is it really my battery that's the problem? Not the spark plug? Does any know the size of my car battery? Is it 66 as a friend have suggested.I've checked with the mechs at the nearby shell station, and they are quoting Rm 460 which I thought was crazy. Or is that the market rate? Any reply would be much appreciated.

Try checking the voltage using a multimeter.. Healthy voltage would be 12.5V... And if voltage goes below 12V (IIRC), you'll have weak starting problem although still enuf to power the lights.

If you ask normal workshop for battery price, they will mark up..
Try going to parts stockist.. I normally go to PH Auto in SEA Park (near the Shell Station) to buy car batteries... Should be able much cheaper than what u got quoted.

Pharoah,

I changed mine to Century DIN66 Maintenance Free a few months back at RM250 only. Hope this helps.

Cheers

I got my alternator changed for RM400 about 1 year ago... hehehe... Refurbished unit..
