Dear Tai Ko & Sifus,I need some expert advice and input, I am driving an E36, 328i. Recently I have changed my front springs to Eibach Prokit and my absorbers to new standard Sach, however this morning I realised that the height on my front is different between my left front and my right front. My left front height is just 1 and a half finger between the tyre and the arch whereas my right front is 2 fingers gap. Is this normal? If not what is possibly the problem and how to resolve this? And Recently, I just done my allignment and balancing for my wheels. The tyre shop guy told me that, my rear camber is out, and he told me that this problem cannot be rectified have to just live with it.Is this true? Rear camber if is out, cannot be rectified? How about me installing a Anti Roll Bar ? Just thinking out loud.Hope all taikos and sifus can help. Many thanks in advance.

The camber in the rear for E36 can be adjusted but it's within a small degree only. Changing the ARB won't affect the camber. You'll need to change the rear control arms if you want better flexibility in camber adjustment in the rear.

If your front camber is out then you'll have to live with it cause for E36 front is fixed.

To answer your two questions,

1) Yes it is normal. Unless u install a set adjustable coilovers.

2) AS per loafer, the rear camber can be adjusted. I managed to get -2 camber on my previous E36, alternatively you can also purchase aftermarket link arm like TC Kline if u wish to have more camber.

Cheers

1) ride height is slightly higher on passenger side..that's normal because same thing occur to me

2) camber can be adjusted with some hardcore push&pull& turning which i had for my ride also, like bundy said, is pretty good if u can get -2 camber adjusted, i think i manage to adjust around -3

Dear Loafer, AlBundy & Jacky hung,

Thanks alot for all your advice and guidance.

Really appreciate it.

Have a nice day.

Hi Albundy,

How much roughly is the aftermarket link arm like TC Kline.

Thanks.

Thanks.

The workshop I go to sells some nameless brand ones for RM750. Maybe cheaper if you nego. Nameless brand ones are usually made of steel and tends to be heavy so it'll add weight to your car (when you should actually be trying to reduce).

Lighter ones like those from UUC Motorwerks cost somewhere in the region of RM1200, not including shipping.

Not sure how much TC Kline is though, maybe Bundy can help you with that.

On the E46, front camber can be adjusted to -2ve.

On the E36, the cheapest and easiest option is to use a camber nut, alternatively is to get a camber plate, like a kmac. But there is a downside to kmac as it is a little flimsy, and the steering feedback is reduced.

I saw TC Kline at Turnermotorsport website and it's made of aluminium, price USD299. Here is the site, just scroll down.

Contemplating to get one pair for my current ride as it is struggling to get -2ve camber at the rear!! :(

BUY BUY! I was contemplating UUC @ USD349 but they only ship with UPS which costs half a bomb to send to Malaysia.

How much is shipping with turner?

Hey Guys,

Thanks alot for all your inputs, really appreciate it.

Best regards,

IIRC new springs will take some time to settle. But at any rate, the effect of half a finger difference is probably very minimal.

Rear camber is easily adjustable through an eccentric bolt on the rear camber arm (near the lower shock mounting point). Tell your alignment guy to adjust that bolt.
