Hi guys,

Had this problem recently, my hi beam suddenly just activated itself and it cant be turn off even when I turn off the engine so end up have to disconnect the hi beam wire to keep it off. Have any of you encounter such problem?

After diagnosis my mech told me the Light & Check Control Module is the culprit and found out the price is RM 2200 brand new. Used at around RM 1000.

Part number is 613 569 611 41

Like to hear your opinion or experience in this matter. Thanks all.

Regards

Yeap sounds like an LCM fault, however the price doesnt sound right. If you can wait, maybe you can buy from ebay which are selling around gbp50 not including postage. Buy the later version, LCM IIIB (3B) or LCM IV. You'll have more coding options to play with later.

Thank you bro Haywire. Havent got the chance to check out your 530i. I have just send in my car for a respray yesterday....much needed but no budget for a full glasurit job so just some cheap economy way.Costing me RM 2300 for the same color, no oven. But have quite a few nicks to knock knock.

Anyway, was thinking to change my headlights and rear lights to facelift version but was told the rear lights need to make some modifcations on body...is it true ? Whereas the headlights is plug and play unless i wanna add HID...quoted RM 2600 for a new pair Hella OEM and RM 1400 for rear lights Hella OEM....wonder if these OEM have any difference in quality compare to Original BMW Hella ?

Anyway when you say in ebay is it a brand new unit or used as well ? Thanks alot bro. Will meet up with you guys when my car is more presentable.

Thanks bro tweiboon. I think so but had committed to another piece locally...source by my mech and provided some warranty per say. Paid 1400 for pair of headlamps and the module. Overpriced but i couldnt find a better option for the headlamp so far so kinda no choice.

Thank you for the head up though. Appreciate it.

Hi,

Well the headlamps was worn and in bad shape thus I thought might as well source a used one in better condition. Mine was a 1996 thus still the non angel eyes and with amber indicators.

Had my car back and replaced the used module...all good now. Got back the high beams. Thanks all for sharing the information.

Next is hoping to retrofit the M5 Heritage sits if can source one...caramel color.
