Friend of mine showed me the app.

Apparently i can track the performance of you car, complete with diagostics.

Has anyone here tried it?

Here's the link :

I use a different sort of tool to get data from the OBD2 port.

1) A direct plug-in which shows the car data on a small 4-inch LCD screen (something similar to Scangauge). Used this to monitor engine oil temp on the track. But based on the few track days, diesel cars tend to run cooler with around a max of 104 degrees celcius even after 12 hot laps.

2) Using an OBD2 Wifi dock which pairs with my iPhone. My iPhone will then capture the data and embed it into the video I record using the app "TrackAddict"

i was previously recommended "Torque OBD Link" software for Android..has lots of feature, especially useful ones would be boost pressure, oil temp, air intake temp, error code display etc..once even thought of buying the cheapest & biggest screen android phone and stick it somewhere as a gauge display hehe...unfortunately can't get my foc bluetooth adapter to communicate with my current phone..definitely will be a project in the future..

I also had that issue regarding the OBD2 bluetooth adapter. I was reading up on what are the causes and I found out for iPhone, Apple has setup an additional bit for their bluetooth communication to make it more secure. That is why these OBD2 bluetooth readers can't pair with iPhones thanks to that and the alternative is to use a Wifi connection instead (Wifi OBD2 connectors are a lot more expensive and rare).

What phone are you using bro?
