Just replaced 4 new 235/45/17 tires with the V12 Evo. Initial impression of the V12 has been good. Firm over bumps/uneven road and no sidewall flexing issue during corner. On this I think it's about comparable to ContiPremiumSport (not price wise). No aqua planning issue over the rainy weekend. Aqua planning was the key reason I traded in the junk ZE912 (not my first choice then also, but my choices were not launched yet at the time).Haven't really tested straight line braking yet... will see. When I was reading several tire reviews I saw some feedback regarding comfort. My choice was between V12 Evo vs F1 Asymm... and since there's no stock for the size with F1 Asym (as always with Goodyear:hmmmm2:) I went with V12. I knew it couldn't be wrong because I had prior experience with Hankook K104 before.Let's rub in the rubber some more and see how it goes...

Thanks bro.. Mind sharing the price u got it for and which shop.

Cheers

enkil, since you're from Shah Alam and Viewfinder is from Penang. It's easier for you to check out Tiretown in USJ 19. They are the local Hankook distributor...

Put up for the sake of comparison:
Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110
Treadwear 280, Traction AA, Temperature A
235/45R-17XL 97Y

ContiCS3 made in Germany which costs more than 2x the price of my tires:
Treadwear 280, Traction AA, Temperature A
235/45ZR17 94Y SL

Goodyear F1 Asymmetric (m.i.G also) which costs about 42% more.
Treadwear 240, Traction AA, Temperature A
235/45R17 94Y XL

Yep! Best bang for the bucks! Also get 5-star review from users.. :top: Pilot Sport only get 4-star.

Okie dokie... Thanks mate, my tires are running botak already..:top:

viewfinder, I've been to TireTown before to purchase a Delkor battery (of which they are also the distributor). Hankook has so many different types of tyres. I assume this v12 evo is their top of the line model.

The pricing of the Hankook tires is quite reasonable.

How about the other Hankook models? Any comment on them? Am looking for directional tyres with good wet weather handling. Any recommendations?

so far i am using hankook ventus hr2,205/50/16 a bit noisy coz i did not rotate often, good griping even raining day...price also very reasonable & i bought it for rm230 per pcs.

seech, you can check out the local disti web site here. I heard from several members that the RS2 is grippy but not suitable for big sedan. On the other hand the XQ Optimo maybe something to consider. My friend in Korea told me their XQ Optimo Nova (not sold here) is even more expensive than the V12.

Thanks for the feedback. So V12 is still the one to go for. Will go check it out. Would you mind PM me how much you paid for yours?
