Pardon my ignorance, isn't the GTR an E46 coupe? Why would you start a GTR lookalike car by choosing an E36 4 door sedan as the base car......

well, PBMW is an England based magazine and European Car is a California based magazine. The owner is from San Francisco and I guess EC got to them first cause PBMW only comes to US maybe once in a couple years to do enough photoshoots to last them a year or so.

I'm also happy to say the owner is also one of europrojektz's newest recruits

Not quite so. If my memory serves me right, the first PTG group car was an E36 M3 GTR (coupe body) and it competed in the American Le Mans series ALMS
