Hi, anyone has installed GPS or HUD on your 320i through BMW ? If yes, how much does it cost ?

Got a rough quote from outside workshop of RM5k to change CIC idrive hardware system to enable GPS and SGD8k to install HUD.

Last week I attended a w/shop in BMW KL.

I ask the ppl there about this and was told, as soon as you 'play' with any of the cable or electronics, your warranty void.
I did ask about, what is i add Amp, change the speaker or put a cd changer.
They told me, if you 'touch' those and when it comes to problem or during servicing, their computer cannot 'link' with the car, then your warranty is void.

I suggest you clear the matter before adding or doing anything.
Just my view.

Dynavin looks great ! However, looks like the original iDrive will need to be Jailbreak.

I used to have dynavin on my old golf but it felt laggy and the interface wasn't as smooth as it looks

HUD is really great, especially for navigation. You dont have to take your eyes off the road and the instructions in the HUD are very clear
