the paint itself is not a big issue to use glasurit or others. the painter is the most important to get the base primer and color right. once that is done, then glasurit lacquer makes it all the difference. have 3-4 coats as most painter will not do that. u will need 3.5-4 litre for a saloon car. 4 litres is just 120rm difference. compare to normal high solid lacquer.

To answer your question directly, these are the 2 prominent resprayers who have steadfastly stuck to the Glasurit brand for decades:
1. Liew Motors (Jln 215 near Jln Tandang area). Another branch in Glenmarrie, just before reaching the huge dead-end Tjunction. The youngest son Ah Seng is a good friend and he's also a great sprayer. In the good ol days, they used to do top class jobs. Now, no guarantees. IMO, the presence of lots of high end cars could also mean lots of ignorant customers ripe for the killing
2. Lian Heng in Bangi. When you reach UKM main entrance, turn left. Its 5mins down the road on left. This used to be a hardcore high-end resprayer who dared to charge the correct price. If they sense you're not their kind of customer, they wont spend much time with you. I sent a few cars there before, but a tad disappointed with the last vehicle.
3. Soo Seng in Batu Caves is also highly reputable.
BASF's Glasurit aftermarket automotive refinishing system is dying a slow death in Msia.
Its like the taste and look of KFC in the late 70s or A&W rootbeer in the early 80s vs what they are now
During the old days, its quality was THAT great...besides STANDOX and the Japanese Isamu.
But the Glasurit now is no longer fantastic.
Only the aura and hype surrounding this established brand managed to keep it alive. Many sprayers also dont like to use it due to many technical reasons, and since most car owners are not willing to pay a 2013 price for a proper, impressive job, or not aware of the current mkt prices, most sprayers do not want to spend so much money to buy such expensive slow moving stocks. What brands the sprayer use are primarily driven by how much $$$ his typical customers are willing to pay.
A proper no shortcut will also require Glasurit primer, Glasurit reducer etc. Full set.
On the contrary, for resprayers who hv learnt to apply Glasurit properly in our weather, the final results do possess that
added"pop"/"liveliness. But of course, the workmanship is way more important than the brand used.
