The 2004 Carbon Black M3 is actually a July 2003 manufactured.
Confirmed via VIN check with realoem.com.
Around 32,000miles. SMG2, 19", HK, 16:9 sat nav, heated seats,
sunroof, xenon, headlight washer.

Saw the car before I bought mine.
Price is a bit on the high side for the condition.
Front seats and steering looks worn. Especially the head rest.
Engine sounds a little funny too.
The salesman said they used NASA oil to service the car when it came. :stupid:

The 2002 Cabrio is in Naza World Federal Highway right ?
You should get the 2005 M3. Is it a real CS ?

Unfortunately the CS was sold! The picture on the Motortrader was the CS but when I went there its a
totally different car :( The CS was sold around 300k+

altho it won't be easy, try to find one with a stickshift. less headache in future.

hanifcd, if I'm not mistaken the CS was sold for RM 300-320k.
That would be a really good buy.

mizhan, you'd be surprise at how many SMG II M3s in the States with over 150k miles without any problems.

Yeah 888 is right. The SMG1 or SSG is troublesome, with frequent leaks at the hydraulic actuator.

With SMG2, the actuator is a lot bigger and even my mechanic (who has repaired a lot of these SSG/SMG1 actuators) actually said, he has not seen any failed SMG2 actuators yet! Hope he wont see any, anytime soon!

After driving mine for more than a month now, I would say get the SMG! Once you are used to it, the SMG2 is a joy to drive, more so if you are driving into the city daily.

On the track, the SMG2 actually auto blips when you downshift and again, you don't need to heel and toe, unless you do enjoy doing. Well I find that I could concentrate more on the driving with the heel and toe out of the picture.

Get a 03 model preferably and one with high specs, ie; 16:9 screen, Navigation, bluetooth, heating seats, front strut bar and do a check on the vin code.

Good Luck hunting and it is worth it! :)

......

The O-ring rubber that causes the leak ... Fortunately a member in udmowners.com have found a solution and together with his mechanic fabricated an improved version of the O-ring rubber :top:  ... As for the SMGII yes they too suffer leaky actuator but not as common as the SSG transmission ...

Gave it to my lil bro. Now left without a car *hint-hint. Can borrow mom's car? lol

HAHA take that beast out and man handle it la dude!!!

I went to a showroom near University Hospital today. It's the showroom that imports Mitsuoka and other cars. They offered
2 models. The cars weren't there actually they just showed me through the laptop and didn't get to see the specs.

0? Convertible Black, Gray interior, ??km, SMG, 18-19's rims.

0? Coupe Metallic Green, Beige interior, ??km, MANUAL, 18' BBS wheels, carbon fiber interior and one aftermarket huge screen

The convertible is in good condition by the look at the pictures, everything else look ok but I'm no fan of gray interior and a convertible :S

As for the coupe, the good news is its a MANUAL! rare stuff but don't mind both the transmissions really. Interior looks good with the carbon fiber interior, however both exterior and interior colors didn't suit unless its a British car IMO. The big LCD doesn't suit there either.

They said they'll mail me the pictures so I can post it in the forum today but it's still not available.

Salesperson is new to cars I think, He said the Merc CLS 500 has 500000cc :)

Yeah found a couple of few, thanks! I got question. Some of the wheels looked different, is it because of 18 inch and 19 inch or is it because of the year manufactured? I believe all of the are OEMs.

Saw a 04/09 e46 bmw m3 with 37000 km on the clock today. Car looks in quite good condition for its age. Color is silver with black interior. comes with dvd/tv/gps working. Asking RM239k. Bought from Tenaga Wan in April 09.

Can someone please let me know what is the fair market price for this car? Is it around RM210-220k (my budget)?
