Gearbox upshift from 1 to 2

Guys,Driving in steptronic mode changing from 1st gear to 2nd gear at high RPM, the car jerks tremendously. However, if you are not putting your foot down while upshifting, the shift seems to take longer than usual...any idea what issit? 2nd gear onwards seems to be okay..no slippage etc.
