Gearbox rebuilt ?

To all masters, sifuss, jedi and obi wan kenobie Gearbox rebuilt ? if i considering to buy E36 which is now 10+years old grandpa most of the millage range at about 150++K and most of people will suggest to rebuilt the gearbox... and i'm the gear moron, dont know anything about it: what it mean, how many stage/phase (can do sikit-sikit ka..), How much a cost, can rec any workshop around ThanksKind RegardsZUL

Bro, you're new to this thing. Better buy a new car and learn more first. Your headache with a problem UDM will be so bad that even Ponstan will not enough. Serious advice bro!

few months back, i did ask a potong kreta fella about the gearbox for e36.
if rebuilt, will be roughly 2K+. but will recommend it to be overhaul rather than rebuilt. most rebuilt only change worn out clutch and bearings, clutch that can still be use, will not be change. that's the bad part of it. if potong gearbox, just pray!

i believe at that particular millage ,why don't you do an ATF change first ..

what sort of symptom are you getting at this moment ?
