Fixing dash digits problems in E34 dash display

my car is a e34 24v model - dash has mileage and tripmeter readouts in 7-segment digital figures - on hot days some of the segments doesn't light up. cold mornings all the segments light up properly ie i can see all the parts of all the numbers correctly.how do i go about fixing it?

based on this website it isays that it's the capacitor problem, not sure though
