I have recently encountered some problems during my modification of my E46 M3. I brought in a stage 2 supercharger kit from the states and it should deliver approximately 595HP. I doubt it would do those readings but i would be happy with 550 HP or so. Brembos 6 pot brakes complements the kit for stoppage and I brought in a ZF Sachs Racing Clutch. This is where the problem begins. Upon opening, we realised that the gearbox that the M3 was using was not the ZF but the Getrag Gearbox which is similar to what the M5 and M6 uses. Where am I to find a performance racing clutch for the Getrag SMG gearbox? I need that part urgently and if anyone could advise would be much appreciated. Tried Malaysia and Singapore with not much avail.

If your using SMG then you got no options . If your using Manual then ACT Clutch is your way to go.

the m3 gearbox is nothing near to the m5 and m6 in terms of design but its the same concept.

you can try HPF in the US. they might have a clutch upgrade for the SMG boxes.....good luck. post up your build once done. will be nice to see a FI M3.

bro, spec makes a clutch for your the smg gearbox! my friend in the states used it before, BUT he has 2 dead hydraulic units in less then 1 1/2 years.

you may want to try it, also the shift is very harsh.

i think you should imagine racing clutch on a manual gearbox, where it comes with a higher rating pressure plate as well (maintaining stock flywheel). its harder, and the smg hydro unit is not designed to press the harder clutch. hence it gives way faster.

he is now using stock clutch again.
