Hi all,For me it would be these items (from the least important to almost necessary):Not specifically for BMW but to any cars out there.1) paddle shifter (the car is automatic anyway so D for me 99% of the time)2) bodykits 3) CD changer (believe it or not some ppl still insist despite iPod and usb/multimedia connectivity)4) Big alloys (for presentation only)5) 4WD (in the tropics? no thanks..no offense Quattro and 4motion lovers :) )5a) Sunroof (useless in the tropics for me)6) auto-folding side mirrors (nice to have though but use it often and it spoils easily from my experience)7) front passenger memory seat8) Sat-nav (most handheld and mobile phones GPS are far more advanced than built-in GPS)9) Headlight washer10) Rain and light sensor (especially the rain sensors sometimes either too sensitive or too late, same goes to the light)11) Reverse cameras ( nice to have)12) Keyless-go (but nice to have though)13) Park assist aka self-parking (very convenient in MY I think Merc B class and VW Touran? come with this as well as the upcoming Ford Focus)14) Front PDC (quite handy)15) Reverse sensors (needless to say, very important)16) Heated side mirrors (very important even in the tropics especially when it rains the condensation clears efficiently)17) Xenon headlights18) Side mirror mounted indicators (which BMW has this?)19) Electronic handbrake (becoming more common nowadays)20) Autobrake (new focus has this and some high spec mercs and volvos that I know of)21) anti-collision and proximity sensors (sounds like science fiction but I know volvos and perhaps some BMW ?)22) Traction control, airbags and ABS are a must! sadly not many cars in MY come with this yet. That's my 0.0002 cents of opinion. So let's hear yours..Cheers all..

LOL.mine is just 6. But only 4 came as standard. the other 2 were fitted outside..haha but mine is also a stock standard AB car CKD.

Mine, 4 came as standard, while another 3 were add-ons afterwards. 3 is still on the to do list.....

bro electronic handbrake is when you have a handbrake electronic button instead of a lever.

bro huskar,
Haywire is correct.

Only BMW F10 AFAIK comes with Electronic handbrake. Not sure about the F30.

Others in MY with this feature are the current Audi A4, current Citroen Picasso and Peugeot 508, current E and S class Mercs (maybe B class and ML too?).

AFAIR Renault Espace or Scenic also came with the e-hb like 5 years ago as one of my colleague had it (but not in MY).

Cool feature as long as the motor doesn't go south that is..hehehe..

Huskar, you should also highlight the heated mirrors..I am sure your car has it as std.

saw a newspaper ad on the new ford focus.
It also comes with anti-collision sensors..good stuff!

Things I really don't want on UDMs

No. 1. Facebook (and Twitter) - This is possibly the most pointless feature that they are fitting to new cars nowadays. I want to drive. I don't want to post emo status updates when my VANOS KO.
No. 2 - "Beng" stuff - Bodykits, Stickers, Spoiler, Stick-On Side Vents, Oversized Rims, etc. - No explanation needed.
No. 3 - All Automated Gearboxes - I'm a stickshift-Nazi. Sue me.
No. 4 - GPS Navigation - Sometimes the best thing to happen while you're driving a UDM, is to get lost. "Sori, dahling! I will be home late. Made a wrong turn." *Drive to Bentong to make U-Turn*
No. 5 - Electronic-Assisted-this-that Features - If I want to play with new techno automated abilities, I'll buy an S-Class ... If I can afford an S-Class :p

Things I really need on UDMs

No. 1 - ABS & DSC (Stability Control) - As much as we like to show off driving the best handling machine on the road, none of us are pro racers and none can predict Malaysian roads.
No. 2 - Good Seats with Side Bolsters - Its hard to drive a UDM while in the passenger seat. Trust me.
No. 3 - PDC (Parking Distance Sensors)
No. 4 - Xenon Headlights
No. 5 - Sunroof - Cause along mountain roads, I need to hear more of my UDM with more wind-in-my hair ;)

Bro, after meeting you last two week, I think that the thing that your UDM needed most right now is regular maintenance.

Already on it, bro. TWS oil and filter change. But strangely, the diagnostic system at Obermier couldn't find any fault with the car except two dead sensors (light levelling and wheel speed sensor). They couldn't find anything wrong in the DME. Will be doing more diagnostics with advice from the M5Boards fellas till I have concrete evidence what threw those errors on the scanner. Up next is the alternator and air filters.

PA Soft scanner that was used on your car was more sensitive to some errors not registered on some other scanner devices.
