brudder.i use 235/45/17 and i swear by it.if price(rm520/piece) is not a factor, this will be THE tyre to use....for me lar at least.gives me the best of both worlds.quiet right to the last thread and fierce enuff to give me confidence to whack long sweeping corners at hi speed.very good hi speed straight line sustainability.wet performance also ok.(shouldn't be speeding in the wet anyways)i went thru 2 sets of these.after that kenot tahan.too expensive.it's a soft compund therefore wear rate is high.max i got is 32k kms.this is a confidence inspiring tyre.
i experienced continentals csc,sp9000,silverstone evol8(current) before and none of them came even close.

silverstone evol8 - ok for normal use.hi speed straight line - so so.hi speed sweeping corners...goyang bradder.....noise - ok.so far still quiet.done 3k kms oledi.

falken ST115 are awesome wet tires, and good dry tires. they wont outgrip AD07 or hankook R-S2 in the dry but will do so easily in the wet. still below performance of GS-D3, PS2 or S-03, but those are way more expensive.

ST115 is much quieter than ES100 or other similar range yokos.

wears quickly but grip and low noise levels remain til the bottom of the thread. the yokos are known to get noisier after 50% wear.

if u intend to track the car, u can overcook and kill the rubber of the ST115 if ur not careful. so i dont recommend it for track use. but for day-to-day use, especially in the wet, there's not much better rubber u can get at that price.

oh, i hear the toyo proxes T1-R are quite cheap, too, and would be a better alternative than the ST115. if u can afford the slight premium, go for the T1-R. i wont recommend the GS-D3 cos the thai rubber is shite and u cant get the german made ones easily anymore.

try the 115 on my honda before the tyre is good when new and soso after 60%. quite and better than es100. I am on tir now 18" the tyre is good price 500+ from klang. Problem wear off fast six mth 60%gone , about time to look for new pair now.

Fire, u shopping for tyres too? Am quite keen on the ST115, but looking at staggered setup... am running on 16". U?

I'm on Azenis ST115 now but not that long as other. So my comments;

The rubber quite soft means wear out quite fast but you'll have better grip.
The tread design quite good in wet, drain out water quite fast, better grip
Side wall definitely look sporty. I'm on 55 series and compare with it soft rubber, it so so in handling the lateral force.
"Silent Performer" , I prefer Yoko C Drive for silent drive. Don't know about others but C Drive really silent.

that my 2 cent

:D My experience with ST115

Front 215/45/17 RM 350/pcs
Rear 225/45/17 RM 420/pcs

Dry : Excellent
Wet : Good

Comment : grip, quiet and confort, a bit noisy after 60% or 50%.
Be careful when purchase, some shop did keep the old stock
please look at the manufacturer date when purchase.
the shop will tell you no problem on the tyre because it is silicon
base tyre, so no harden on the tyre.
Change my tyre at 30,000 km. :D

I guess ST115 are "bang for the buck" Good in wet situation..average in dry condition..I guess tht will be ok..How frequent we drive our car as a track car...heheheheh..I guess we only drive it fast in the middle of the night when no car on the street....Initial D wannbe...heheheheh :D

I got to stick to factory setup..It is M spec rim with different PCD front & rear..Current rubber:

Front: Continental 45/225/17 80-85% thread wear suprising still very silent..sidewall kind of boring look...

Rear: Bridgestone Potenza GIII. 35-40 tread wear..very noisy..like police range rover are following you at the back...Side wall..damn sporty..kinda "don't mess with me, I am gonna eat you for breakfast" kinda look... :nyehehe:

Been quoted ST115 front..225/45/17 - RM420-430, rear 245/40/17 -RM7++ (RM730 if i m not mistaken)

Have try potenza 711 on Wira..very silent when still new(drove out fr tyres shop) start to get noisy after 1-2 month...Bridgestone Turanza E60 in E36..better stay away as it is noisy from Potenza 711 althought it is claimed comfort tyre..

Still look & see...

The only FALKEN that impress me was GRB RS Tune-II ... Noisy but excellent grip.

One thing that I noticed, the tires might be cat as EXCELLENTE for Japs car eg Honda or Proton .. but sucks big time if u put it on a BMW. Falken 512 is one of it ...

Currently happy with DUNLOP DIRENZA 235/45/17 at RM 470 a piece - lasted circa 40,000 km ..

Just my 2 cents.

As many have mentioned, the ST115 is an able performer, both in the wet and dry. The only downside is the enormous wear rate, mine lasted less than 6 months!!! So, in terms of value for money I would rather pay a little more to get the Michelin Preceda which has lasted me more than 10 months and still has more than 40% thread left. :)

In a nutshell, this tire is not cheap!!! No complains bout its performance.

Among the few 'performance' tires that are available in 60 series aspect ratio.

Used it on my late Peugeot 306 in185-60-14 form. Excellent in the wet and dry. I remember going 140kmh with them on in heavy rain on the NSE (yeah I know..... stooooopid  ) and didnt feel any aquaplaning..... serious! Amazing tires, reasonable prices.

Even better was the GRB as mentioned by 535.... awesome tires. If you thought the ST115s were good in wet/dry, this one takes it a step further.

Quiet? Didnt matter to me as much as the 306 was already pretty comfortable as is. Soft? Of course! Thats why it grips like crazy

PS
The problem with high grip tires like these is that, you will be going a LOT faster if and when it decides to break traction. This could lead to BIG trouble.

ALBundy, the 115s lasted 6 months! What type of mileage do you do, bro?
maybe low mileage but drifting ..

if u think ST115 wears fast, ive heard the GRB is like taking a grater to cheese. my set of ST115 lasted me 23k kms with 2 trackdays and countless ulu yam runs in between. good til the last drop. all this on a car weighing 1350kgs.

i subsequently got another set of ST115 then overheated them on track. 70% tread left but the rubber was as grippy as a cement block. switched up to higher heat tolerant - and noisy as hell! - rubber.

Well, those days when I was working outstation, I easily racked up 35 to 40k a year. After about six months, there was less than 20% left and I wasnt going to risk it. As I said earlier, no problems with the performance and noise level, just the extreme wear rate :)
