All sifus,My F10 one of my aircond buttons has faded since couple months back, since it is still under warranty. I am thinking to replace it. I have spoken to the technician and I was told it will take about 2-3 days to replace and re-program the system. Need advice from all the sifus, is it worth the trouble to go through the hassle to get this replace? Thanks in advance.

Thanks 131retrofit,
When I talked to service advisor he was telling me that I have to change out the 'whole panel':13:. Will confirm this with other service advisor and let see what is his answer for that.

My E90 has the same issue. I did not approach any BMW dealer in fact I went to Bavarian Auto and ask about it. For E90, they don't sell at loose item such as air-cond button but come with whole panel. But for E60, they do sell for the button only so I guess this is based on the car model. Am not sure for F10 but I guess is the same case like mine. Meaning change the whole panel.

go taobao.com and check... they sell button by button. Alternatively, checkout sponsors from bmw sg.

2-3 days? I think you can change just the button alone right. Even ours too, the Fan Speed decrease for the driver side is coming off. :(

But I think I'd leave it. two reasons:

1. Worried they may open and mess it by accident. Malaysia no AC means gone la. Europe ok no AC still can tahan lol.
2. It gives it "character". :p
