Ever lost your Touch N Go Card??

I'm sure there are some here who has either lost/misplaced their Touch N Go card. I lost mine about 2 weeks back. Dropped or misplaced somewhere.. Anyway, I went to the Plus office and bought a new card. Then I mentioned that I lost my Touch N Go card. The lady at the counter then told me that i can report lost card and block it. I just need to look for the reload receipt which contain the card no (Mfg No) Then I called up the TouchNGo careline and the guy on the otherline requested for the Mfg No and asked a few questions. And the card was blocked for further usage.However, to request for cancelation and refund, I would need to pen a simple letter with my name, NRIC and the TnG Mfg No to request for refund. then they would send a cheque amounting to your TnG balance to your correspondence address..Well, I'm still waiting for the cheque to be delivered. Supposed to have about RM90 balance in the card.
 
Mine is in my IC, so I would be more than worried about the cheque of the remaining balace in my TnG if i ever lose it. Thanks for da heads up. Good info.
 
That was not what I was told...I lost my card when I dropped my smart tag...(long story). Anyway, I had over RM100+ balance and when I went to report, they said that they could block the card but I cant get a refund...they also told me that by now, someone would have used up all my balance...so..I just left it and got a replacement.

Oh..and since we are on this subject..I had a 'Plus Tag' way back in those days and when they changed it to 'Smart Tag" which i had to purchase again (since both were non compatible) I returned it for refund. Filled up the form etc...afterwhich I called them several times to enquire, each time to be told 'tunggu la'.....It has been like 7 years now?...
 
TnG said there's an expiry date (10 years) for the TnG card. Does that apply to the MyKad as well??? hmmm.

Not sure about last time. This is my first time losing a TnG card.. So i can only share my experience of this recent incident. Perhaps they have 'tidied' up the system and can handle blocking and refund.
 
I got my T&G stolen from my car and the staff at the T&G counter basically ask me to fly kite when I report the lost.

I told them why they cant block and refund the balance. They say that they cannot do it. I ask why they
cannot since they have all the data in the computer. Note: You have to fill your particular when you apply for one.

Somehow, I did not get my refund and I have to buy a new one. That happend many years ago.

Nowadays, can get a refund? That is good.

But I did get a refund in about 2 weeks when they accidentally deduct all my balance.

But I could not bank in the cheque cos they spell my name wrong.. Have to get it changed.
 
forgot to mention that i called up TnG careline yesterday to confirm that they have received my fax which I sent in the day before. They confirmed receiving it and processing the refund. I also asked what's the balance in the card as shown in their database, still got slightly less than RM90. They didn't mention anything on deducting any amount for admin charges. Will know when I received the cheque in the mailbox.

I've asked whether they can transfer the amount straight to my new TnG card, they replied that the system currently doesn't handle that. So can only refund via cheque.
 
if you lost your card or any compalin about your TnG, do not report it to TnG plus counter. They will give 1001 excuses, because TnG is not Plus product. Head up straight to the TnG office, or call their service desk (can be found at the card) or go to their office at Taman Desa. You can solve your problem there, not at the Plus counter.

Wwhen you use smart tag, make sure the beep is once and the gate is open. if the gate didnt open, never try to make it beep again. othet wise, it will suck up all your money when you get try to exit from the hiway. the reason being, the TnG is not online. TnG use 1 in, 1 out concept. If you beef twice, it means, 2 in. Once you tried to exit, it is 1 out,which equivalent to you lost your ticket. What happened if you lost your ticket? Ypou will have to pay the maximum amount possible. Same thing with TnG, it will assume you out without in, and suck up all your money.

That is 7 years ago, Rangkaian Segar still new now the matured already, better service.
Maybe most of the OLD and unproductive staff left already, like one of our good M5 wannabe friend in the CLUB ran to Kiasu Land already.

Ya, it should work that way but they suck all my money at a fixed rate tolls. i.e. you pay RM1 for pass that toll not in twice and no out.
 
I didnt lose my TnG card but i returned one (cos i had extras) and they took about 3 months to return the credit and deposit via cheque. So fab, it wont be instantaneous...

Wow! Your IC is "smart"! :eek: :D

I recently canceled one old card (I had 3 cards for 2 cars :p) and got my few Ringgit refund (net of some processing fee) in the mail weeks after. No complains. Not long after that, my car got broke in and smart tag stolen. :( Not much money inside though, so didn't bother to report it even. Forgot to lock my door in my porch and found someone ransack my car the next morning, within my house compound, GATED!! *&^%$#@!!!
