Powder Coating 101
Had a good lesson on powder coating last night...
The swatches that I've seen with the textured powder coating was quite impressive! The texture size are customizable to your needs. From fine [grains] to splatters!
There are many types and brands of powder out there in the market, from the hobbyist/enthusiast use [home DIY] to the high quality industrial ones. I was also told that some of these [poor quality] powder even contains mercury!!! [would need to clarify on this tho'].
So end of lesson 1.
Update:
I have chosen my color and texture size so the wheels will be picked-up, processed [sandblasted, acid-dipped, stabilized, cleaned and air-dried etc] and prepped for coating Feb 18th or so... Yeay! Can't wait to see the results

These babies flew in
...and arrived this morning. I seem to notice that it is more difficult to get stuff for the E46 series nowadays as compared to just a couple of years ago. Or is it just me?! These labels/stickers were flooding the market once, now... count your blessings if you can find them let alone forking the moolahs!!! And I'm buying extras just in case :wink:
I hope all the attention to details will be worth my while...

i am so gonna stalking this thread! nice M3 and salute bro. and by the way, i would definitely go for the TE37SL hehe, or VR G2 wheels in black. anyway, can't wait to see the updates sir!
