But not as sharp, so not to worry! Hahahaha...

It is very well contoured and feels good to the touch :)

Good tease BC.. Now cant wait already.. Ater cny lagi.. Manyak lama mau tunggu.. Nice rims selected..

Its always in the details...

Got these in preparation for the wheels to be textured powder coated after the CNY...
And with the mono-chromed hub-caps I purchased last year, these wheels should come out looking pretty good.
Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

these are getting more difficult to come by nowadays...

The paint/powder coat shop is busy with work until mid February. I did not want to rush the job, so I'll just have to wait I guess.

Well at least, I can hope for an assured top quality job from them...

bos how much to powdercoat the wheels? did they do wheels alignment before coating?

A couple of hundreds but I have not finalized with the boss. It involves some pre-coat prep but I'd ask if that includes alignment [should it be balancing?]...

Bro BC,

I've been following this thread quietly but i must say all your mods are slowly racuning my veins hehe.

First thing first i need to take care of my wheels. Care to share where do you send your wheels for powder coating? I plan to do mine but in no rush. Probably in March. Thanks bro.

Tinker tubes with some pixie dust

a little more pixie dust on stubborn spots

an hour and much elbow grease later... noticed some spots I missed
I'm not satisfied still with the results so I'll be on it again tomorrow

Hei bro!

Nice of you to drop a line and glad that you are enjoying the thread too. So sorry if its contents are thinning your wallet!!!

Anyways, fyi I've not sent my wheels for the textured powder coat [that'll be after the CNY] and secondly, I've also not confirmed with which shop :slug:

Procrastinating but with a reason...

The 1st option [moderate cost] - the shop is decked out with rides and wheels awaiting completion and delivery before CNY. So so quality...

2nd option [the most expansive] - I've seen in the flesh some wheels that he'd done and some displayed on the walls of his shop. Top notch, superb finishing. Taking in orders anytime...

3rd option [zero cost!!!] - I happen to have a friend with all the facilities needed to do the job, yes, even with the industrial oven with computerized heating control [but he's not in the automotive industry] hence I am at this point hesitant. Tho' some of our mates have done their wheels with him [either in satin or gloss black] but not the textured black that I want...

So life IS complicated after all... Hahahaha :smokin:

So sorry Zul. I missed your 1st Q... Dah tua, mata pon tak berapa nampak sometimes...

The cost varies form my asking around. From as low as RM150/- to RM250/ per wheel.

There is one shop in Subang Perdana that does the rim repairs.powder coating etc. Did my other car rim there. the price is good and to date satisfied with the work quality

Life IS ALWAYS complicated! hehe
I'm also looking around for options, and not in a hurry too. If you have decided what/where to do it, do let me know i might drop by together with you to see the shop/finished product. I'm tinkering still on whether to go glossy or textured, matte looks too much like track car (sometimes even make the car/rim looks cheap!).

My thoughts exactly...

I guess in all mods, you'd have to visualize the whole concept of your intended theme. It is an art form in its own right I suppose...

And in art, there is no rush. Every stroke of the brush is purposeful. Less is sometimes more and please avoid blings!

Enjoy your weekend :)
