Engine oil check in 520d LCI

Hi everyone, would like to ask all of u about the checking of engine oil level using the idrive system. Before this on the pre-LCI model for petrol car, i can check the engine oil using idrive vehicle check but my 520d LCI only have tire pressure checking, initialisation of tire pressure, vehicle checks and vehicle service. dont have the engine oil level checking like the pre-LCI model (not sure for the d model). Maybe diesel model no need to check the engine oil? hahaa. Do leave ur comment here for diesel owner. Just wanna make sure that my car is normal if all diesel car is like that but if all diesel car are equiped with that except mine, that is manufacturing error. ermm tq

Not sure about 520d LCI but for F10 520d (pre LCI) you check using the dipstick in the engine.

My 320d e90 LCI also has that dipstick

That means....diesel models are using dipstick while petrol models can only check using iDrive? Interesting...never knew that.
