engine misfiring problem

i have experiencing misfiring problem for abt 3 months now...just found out kahar has the same problem with me...did a search in e46fanatics.com..still i cannot get a clear answer to my problem.i have misfiring in cylinder 1 n 5..i have awap the coil but still the problem persists...i have change the air mass sensor...cam sensor...coil..but still i do not know what is the problem.during morning when i start my car when the temperature is cold my car will start to shake however the rpm meter did not goes up n down...then the fault light which look like a box with a t on top will light up...then i restart the car again..once the temperature needle reach to the middle then the car is running fine...any e46 owners out there are having the same problem like me?should i update my dme?change the vanos?please help....i could not send my car to AB cos my car is a grey import...anyone has the same problem pleaz post it up here thanx!!

i guess u mean SWAP the ignition coil right ?

Are you swapping the ignition coil between cylinder 1 and 5 ?
-Problems will still persists for sure becoz u not replacing it.

or you mean swapping NEW ignition coil into cylinder 1 & 5 ??

i have few good condition M54 ignition coil . i don't mind to let you try it.

Why simply go change the air mass & camshaft hall sensor ? is there any fault indicate to change ? or someone recommend you to change ??

I have the exact the same problem with my E46 325Ci but mine with cylinder no 4...

How do you solve the problems bro?

marco, send the car to sapura auto.. they will help, since they allow grey imports to be serviced and check..

i can think of a few checks to be done, but it must be the injectors..or ignition..

I believe should be ignition problem.

I had mine misfired cylinder 1 and 5 and the engine vibrate like earth quake when u floored it. normal driving or slow crusing its no problem. Use gt1 to dyno and changed new coil 2 see it solved or not.

Actually i noticed that my spoilt coils if u look carefully in the middle u can see some burnt mark. to show its worn out or malfunction.
