EML light appear

this morning ASC (yellow triangle) comes on on the dash followed by the EML light. Then i lose acceleration. press paddle...rpm up n down...

Check the abs sensor 1st.

burnt 650 for second hand throttle body.........

Plug in the diagnostic scanner first. It will tell you the problem. Perhaps your camshaft sensor.

There are probably few reasons for the EML light to appear. Do check the following:-

(i) check your wiring harness, my wiring harness has ten wires connecting the throttle to the DME. Mechanic replaced few of the wires and wah la...solve the probme. Costs in the region of RM300 plus;

(ii) throttle housing assy faulty which you have replaced. If your EML light still appears, you can use my spare set and see whether your second hand is faulty;

(iii) The DME may have some fault.

done it...it is throttle body

yes...my mechanic changed the throttle body and after 500km, the light came on again. Not to scare you..but if that happen to you, do ask your mechanic to consider item 1 first before asking you to fork out more money for another throttle body as the used part normally carries 7 days warranty only...

For my case E46 was the ICV, after clean the ICV with WD40 fixed bck and kowtim. No more EML lights up
