electrical fan of radiator

guys, recently my electrical radiator fan got some rough sound coming out, mechanic said that the bearing has gone wrong, although still functioning but thinking of replacing it as soon as possible, but guys any idea how much is an original electical fan cost????i was quoted for about RM2000 !!!!!!!!!! a bit too expensive i think, if just for a fan motor though got multiple speed............thanks,willie

Maybe you should consider to open it and add new grease to it if the motor is still running.

Alternatively, try the chop shop....

The price of the new electric fan for your M43 ranges from RM 1400 to Rm 1600 depending on supplier. You can try the chop-shops but reast assured these are rare items as the price for the new unit is high.

Alternatively, look for Naidu behind the Shell station along Jalan Gasing (nxt to KWSP building). He has rebuilt many of these fans for fellow forummers at a fraction of the price. Did mine about a year ago and it still runs fine till tday. Hope this helps.

Just found a chop shop in Klang selling the electric fan for RM250...

it is in Bukit Kemuning. Went there yesterday and found a lot of half cut for e36 and e30.. Got a pair of fog lamp for RM200 c/w mounting bracket..

Can also convert rear drum brakes to disc type for rm300..

the electric can only fit the 4potter... lack of space to fit into the engine bay of the 6 potter...
