Guys Was surfing the SG site and bumped into this. anyone used one of these before? opp The owner wrote: Its not a proper supercharger like the name says. Its bascially an very powerful electric fan force feeding air into your intake, but boost pressure is low lah of course. This fan's variable speed is control via a small ECU that comes with the kit, which reads your vacuum pressure and tells the fan to blow harder accordingly. No ECU remap or exhaust mods necessary. I had it for quite a while in my 325 and it worked well, when I removed it, felt the power in low and mid range torque drop AM Product 3

any dyno results?

got... click on the AM Product 3 link in his post.

wah.. according to the website got E46 and E36 installed. The dyno are only for Jappy cars.

hmmm... i wonder if i get 2 samco large size reducer and then put together a PC fan with a MAF sensor to regulate the voltage in order to control the fan speed.. whether it will work? Hmmm......

hahahaah... remote control cyclone! ;) ... cabutz!

Let me put it this way. If it works, fine!! If it doesnt, you can always use it an extra fan for your Air Con blower.

IMHO, it might be a gimmick. You need a displacement fan (turbo) to generate a positive pressure in order to induce cold air into the throttle body via the MAF/AFM.
Look up "turbonator".

I had one fitted on 318IS ( 1.9 litre ) E36 . Felt slight improvement in low end torque . Psychological ?? As I did not do a dyno test

Bro

if i do that, then my cabib panas man. Engine sejuk driver panas. Koyak lah like that!!!

Anyhow, the x1R is farking good stuff man. engine is really smooth now. dont know about power diff but it works miracles on the engine man. Thanks!!!

direct the passenger one lah...hehheheh...the passenger panas who cares..

extra power don't come cheap! heard of this products before when first time trying to get more ummphhh for my ride. for the price... better improve on ur pipping muffler, spark plug, air filter and others. got more "M", get supercharger, or turbocharger or change chassis to bigger CC.

aku punya falsampah...

Probably can stick it in the airbox inlet!!!! :D

Nemesis

That is one mother of a blower. certain that is can give at least 0.7 bar of boost man. just thinking how to fit it into my engine bay...........

Would be a squeeze for sure, plus would have to make sure the string long enuff so could start it from inside the car ;)

Looks like this guy has actually done it using an electric one:

Read the test result. it mentioned clearly that the pressure only moved a fraction at full thrust. This type of fan (axial) cannot output positive pressure if there are restriction at the discharge end.

Try this mod if you want to impress other that you have jet engine under the hood.

In order to boost the engine power, you need at least 14 psi or 1 bar head pressure. :D

dude,

we have some really sick people in this world.A leaf blower !! what willl they try next.

anyhow, still considering to get the blower or not. Seems interesting but its just the drive to SG and back which is a worry. Also if tuning needs to be done, going to be tough to go back to SG to sort it out.

maybe just consider a superchip instead..heeh

Well apparantly it's a thin line between genius and insanity hehe.

Dunno really bout the aftermarket blower, is it a well researched and engineered conversion?

If it's a Rotrex kit you thinkin of should have no worries, they got some serious R&D
