Electric seats repair shop

salam and good day guys,I'm having a problem with my e36 electric seats... when i push the button, the motormakes noise,but the seats did not move..do you guys know any place/person that can repair the seats? probably around KL,pj,s.alam,subang,klang area..Appreciate any advice... thanks!

hi irdanlz84....i have the same problem before...mine is worst...from manual seat...itchy backside change to electric seat and suddenly jam.i went to bmw roadster at pandan indah...ah meng/tan....they manage to make it work back.pm me if u need the number.cheers

The plastic gear in the gear box kaput ! Mine also same problem. looks like is design problem -- very common

May want to buy an old electric chair to canibolise the motors /gear box. Where to find them ?

Tks. But different model. Mine is E36 . Have actually taken out the gearbox -- confirm the gear kaput ! This is not driven by flex shaft as described in the links.

Hi I had purchased and fixed electric seats on my E34. the lumbar support and headrests, and one side of the fore/aft movements was not working. got it fixed by a chap in bandar baru tun razak. highly recommended, but his charges a bit on high side.

Lennon tan, you were saying that the gear kaput? is the teeth worn out or the

gear is broken? if you go to jalan bukit kemuning near proton factory, shah alam..

there are a lot of shops which only sell used car seats... however i have not check

them yet.. have no time.. maybe you can try search the seats there..

Tks brother. I also searched the web -- ebay .found similar sites ---selling the plastic gear for the seat recline --- seems like the gear worn out is a very common --- maybe design error /problem !!

I just saw this thread. I have been having problems with both driver's and passenger seats in my E39. As I am not a DIY person or into ordering parts over the internet, could some summarize for me, a reasonably good shop that can fix the seats for me at a reasonable price.
