Electric seat adjustment-help

To all gusrus and sifu, I am having problem with the seat adjustment of my e39 where I've just bought not too long ago.When I tilt to adjust the height of the seat, only the left side been moved upward. So I was not too sure whether it is suppose to be like that, then I tried the front passenger side, this time.. only the left side of the seat move up.Question: is it normal or it is something wrong with the wiring? Any place/ workshop I can turn to. You kind advise and recommendation is very much appreciated.

one or more of your seat's electric motor gears must have cracked. you may check OdometerGears.com for a replacement part or replace the whole motor assembly at a much higher cost.

Thanks bro, search the site and still did not get much hint on that. Any workshop located in Klang Valley can help to purchase and fix the gear??

Bro, am faced same problem lastime.

Issue was the inner cable is too short to reach the motor. What they (mech) will do is to cut off little bit of the end part of black cable (the outer of the inner cable), this is to allow the inner cable to reach the motor...just that wala now mine 1 is working fine.

Yeah,its jap site...jus give u a rough idea. This guys usually fix my car at my condo car park....kahkahkah come over my place i will charge you packing fees by hour u know....hahaha

Sure, do update the outcome ya. For the seat , i paid around rm200 for 3 cable and some minor wiring.

Just reach home after collecting the car.

Charges for the repair for the 2 seats= RM80 X 2 (RM160)
Total Flusing cost:
Auto Sunp gasket RM 78
FL strainer RM117
ZF ori trans fluid Rm 51 X 11 = RM561
Flush trans fluid wt machine RM150
Total Damage RM1066
Happy with the outcome, 2 seat back to fully operating position.
