Hi all, Just have one niggling issue with my new 316i so far. Apparently the power windows lock isn't working! I pressed the button, led light is on but I still can roll down the passenger and rear windows! Anyone had similar problems? Going to send it to the SC for checking... Hrm. Forgot to look if the seats are rusted as well :p

driver side still can control all windows even after u pressed the window lock button.
the button operates to disable the window button on passenger side, so that passenger cant open it bt driver has full control of everything

When u lock power windows, it locks the switches at the passengers.. driver switch remain working for all windows. But it is my car (e39). Dont know if f30 has similar system.

I think the function almost same with any other models...
Protection from the kids...

Even after lock, my wife can still roll down the windows on the passenger side, so definitely something wrong there :p

As far as i know, the driver side lock is for the rear windows ONLY.
Correct me if I am wrong though

Hmm, yeah seems like it. I guess they assume kids stay at back and not ride shotgun like what my little baby boy likes to do :p

Yed conformed after testing on my e39 the driver side control swtch only will lock both the rear power window switch...
This think for the safety of the kids seating behind...
The driver side passenger still can be operated by the passenger...
