Electric Fan

Hello guys, Anyone using the electric fan on the E34? What is the benefit/advantage? How much it cost ? Where to install it? Thanks guys.

why want to use elect fan?

I guess he's keen on removing the engine load and presumably making it lighter.

the engine is loaded only when the viscous coupling is clutched ie. at hi temps during traffic jams for eg....at cruise,the fan freewheels - no load.

if we use elect fan,we load the alternator....so in general the engine is loaded under specific conditions no matter if we use elect or viscous coupling fan.

My RM0.02 - electric fan sounds better. The engine doesn't go whoooosh when you rev it with the fan coupled.
