Clutch Fan vs Electric Fan

I have e36 before. My ex e36 alternator jammed and cause the belt broken off. Then the clutch fan will not spin due to the belt is break off. Fan pulley is pulling by the belt from crank pulley. Once the belt is out then alternator, fan, water pump and other things pull by the belt will not running anymore.

In one of the thread in this website, some forumers claimed that clutch fan is not driven by belt. In fact they dont know what is clutch fan pulley is. Only the electric fan which not driven by belt. If using clutch then is 100% driven by belt but the speed of the fan is control by fan clutch itself.

M43 should come with electric fan...
i have a mechanical fan for sale...
i also have an electric fan to letgo...

yeah bro Al Bundy is correct. once u put electric fan, second aux fan is no longer needed. So plug in the electric fan three pin socket to the 2nd aux fan... But then i am having problem having done that.... the temperature will go up rapidly if the car doesnt move, just for one or two minutes. If u ram it a bit, the temperature will go back down the middle as fast as it goes up...
Anyone can help me out?
Thanx guys

Did ur mechanic connect the resistor module that controls the fan speed?

Bro ALBundy,

did you know anyone here convert before?

Anyone know where to get the Fan blade, motor, and the housing for the aux fan.

I know of a few that have converted. Buy a brand new electric fan and it's just plug and play with some minor mods to the wiring. Oem electric fan should be about 1300 or so the last time I checked.

Bro AL Bundy: I am not sure. Infact i dunno which one is the resistor module...
I thought the radiator fan switch is not working. So i bought a new one but still the fan doesnt work with the radiator fan switch attached, So i didnt attach the radiator fan swithch instead just bypass the fan. Now it runs everytime the key is turned. It runs even before the engine in on...but at speed two all the time. Yet the temp still goes up whenever the car is not moving for more than 1 minute... Pls help me out

In this situation, it might be ur radiator got problem already. Must unplug the radiator to clean all the dirty things first. And clean the engine as well. After that then only can see what is happening.

i just changed the radiator and it is working perfectly. Yesterday i did bleeding, so the water is full in reservoir. Then temp is ok, x going up at all.
So what is actually the water level in the radiator? Pening la...
