Heartfelt thanks for the Klang Chapter for their kind donation. Received the envelope from Klang Chairman Mr Jarance last night.

Also, received a cheque from BMW9700 today. Thx bro.

Keep them pouring in.....

Citibank Malaysia is doing a RM1 for RM1 match for every donation going through their account. May I suggest that the donation goes through the Citibank Tsunami fund channel so that the effect is doubled?

DD, aiyaa.. since when did I get the title chairman... the title sound so old.. :p  (pss..stt.... klang taiko can ...)

I think it would be interesting to know what are the collection that have been received so far from the members. I suggest that a cut-off date should be set so that the funds can be reimbursed to the victim without delay.

The cut off date has been set on 12 Jan 2005. But I would strongly urge all of you to send in your contributions (if you haven't already done so) latest on Tuesday as we've planned a cheque presentation probably on Thu & Fri.

The treasurer is in the midst of collecting all the donations. Once we have a definitive figure, we'll announce it. But sad to say, the response hasn't been very encouraging. Nothing to shout about.....but definitely more than 1k lah... :( . Probably a lot of us have already donated before our call for action. If you have, good on ya. If you haven't, it's still not too late... :)

THats a pretty good suggestion! Yeah, we definitely need to double the effect since BMW Malaysia Club will probably come up with one thousand ringgit :p

Collection probably slow when there is nobody taking the initiative to collect on the behalf of the club.. At the Klang TT, I have taken the liberty to collect but at the same time i make sure that all the collection is recorded and accounted for. This is to ensure that 100% of the collection goes the fund.. It must be transparent to all concerned... Most of the contributions actually comes from people who have not announce of their pledge but prefer to remain anomonous... It come from their heart ... for these people I thank you from the bottom of my heart...

For those planning to hand in your donation / collection. There'll be an ad-hoc TT session on Tuesday evening in PJ area.

Tentative Venue : TTDI Wet Market open car park stalls. Parking there should be ok.
Time: 8.00pm onwards.

Those intending to come, please PM me for my contact number and give me urs....

Those coming.
1) fabianyee

Note: please issue a cheque for Malaysian Red Crescent Society & write 'Tidal Wave Fund' on back of cheque

Missed the Tuesday collection, is it too late for me to post? I can also hand it to Alvin on this Sat.

The committee has decided to stop all collection come Wednesday. We're making arrangements to present the collections to either The Star or MRCS soonest possible.

Even though the response hasn't been very encouraging, I'm sure every cent helps. For those who has donated, a big thank you. For those who has not, it's never too late. :)

Our treasurer will be posting a list of all those who donated once he has tabulated all collections.

Looking at the poor response from the forum, we've decided to open up collection till end of this month. Come on guys, stop playing with your cars for a moment and donate. To date, only about 30 pax donated from about 500 pax....very shy for a prestigious car club, don't you think????

I guess one of the reason could well be most of us already participated in other fund raising exercises..

This one is an effort by the club. Even a motorbike club managed to raise RM3k. I mean every extra dollar helps. What's an extra RM10 , right? :)
