I read an article written by this Jap lady (Akiko Tada) a few days back. She said a few of her friends saw the formation of the tidal wave while they were diving. Certain countries had better warning and crisis mgmt system. They suffered less damage.

While we are on this subject, pls keep the donations coming.....

Sorry for not replying sooner, was in Bangkok when Tsunami hit Phuket.

didn't feel the aftershock, but the hotel pool was swirling left and right. and that was in Bangkok....!

The scenes showned on the Thai Tv was gruesome. mangled bodies being pulled out from the shores were devastating.



Btw, jarance RM350 is with me, therefore it will be used as donations for the tidal wave tradegy.

Got a friend who was diving off Phuket and related the story of how he rode thru the tsunami underwater (not knowing what was going on at that time) while holding deperately to the corals and feeling a rush of very cold water. When he finally surfaced, got to his boat (being off shore it was not affected) and when he got back to land, he saw the devastation.

That's another good way to donate... Especially for those who got no time to go donate money physically....

Schumacher to donate $10 million
Formula One champion pledges to offer aid for tsunami victims in Asia

BERLIN (AP) -- Formula One champion Michael Schumacher plans to donate $10 million to aid efforts for tsunami victims in Asia.

Schumacher's manager Willi Weber made the pledge Tuesday in a telephone call to a fund-raiser on German television, organized in collaboration with the German Red Cross, the U.N. Children's Fund and other organizations.

A decision on how the Ferrari driver's donation will be used is to be made together with the Foreign Ministry in the next few days.

The Dec. 26 disaster killed an estimated 150,000 people and left 5 million in need.

btw...i'm organising a collection for the tsunami victims at my housing area and also thru my mums friends!
for the cash donations wht i will do is collect them 1st & hand the total to u guys in cheque form ok?

I was "planning to" donate here, though I've done my part elsewhere.
But, after knowing that BMW M'sia did nothing that I know of, why should I "promote" them thru this club?
