Can you list down the parts needed for the per-LCI to LCI taillight conversion other than the light units and the rear boot lid? I'll be sending in my bruised and battered pre-LCI e90 for a paint touch-up and would like to do the taillight conversion in one go.. planning to start a search for parts.

Beside the boot lid & light:

1) You may need Wiring Harness for the both center light (reverse light), because there is some differences between pre-LCI and LCI. With harness, you could plug and play. Without the harness, in fact you still can manually switch the cable according to LCI configuration.

2) FRM module (located at passenger side) might need to be replaced if you are on V1. If V3, no need to replace at all. But most of the pre-LCI was installed with V2, just need some coding will do. Without replacing or coding on FRM module, your LED light will not work properly, bulb warning message pops up as well.
There is a workaround if you dont wish to do anything on the FRM, use a Resistor 8 - 10ohm with >50W (or your existing bulb), connect parallel with the LED light, all your error will gone, but this workaround is not recommended lar...
