Hi would like to ask if any of our members here dis replace their faulty DSC unit?I have send my car to AB Sungai Besi and a few workshop and they confirmed my DSC hydro unit failed and its going to cost about 11k plus to replace it.Any members tried replacing it with a 2nd hand or recond unit before? please advice :) looking for workshop nearby subang, or pj thanks

HI arwc,

Mine is a E92 325 msport recond 2007/2011 october cbought with millage 30 k km and currently 55 k km.
Had the same problem yesterday where my ABS indicator came on but today morning it disappered. Just for precaution Took to my mechanic Ah Meng ( Msport) today where he did a dianostic check and true enough the DSC pump showed error and he quoted me the same price for a brand new unit at 11 k but claimed he can do it for 4 k as he has some ppl in the kilang to get the part and warranty for 3 months. He was telling that it is quite common for this model to have the problem this particular problem.

However he told to continue driving it and get it check again if the indicator light comes out again.

For the sifu's out there, have anyone change the DSC pump before? How much did u pay and where? Do i need to change it ASAP or can wait for awhile more?
Will it effect the car when taking corners or only the ABS brake system is affected?

Thanks again guys and really appreciate....

arwc....have u repaired your DSC pump yet and where if u did...thanks

Hi DrD,

I have found my problem withthe dsc unit, my mech have opened the unit and dismantled it to 3 parts and show me the leaking in the valves and the abs motor in it. Tommorrow i will collect my car after they have successfully replace the dsc valves and servicing the abs motor in it. He very professional guy the charges is about 2k including labour and 6 mths warranty. I repaired it in K & S Auto 20&22 Jalan USJ 1/6, 47620 Subang Jaya.
Ah Soon is the boss who did it for me, his num is 0162030665

Yes Arnold, Ah soon also solved my DSC issues last time eventhough it turn out to be steering angle sensor.

Thanks arwc,

How long u left the car there?
How LONG since the ABS indicator was on till u decided to get it repaired?
Please to let me know how is your ride now after the repair?

Thanks again bro

FIR, u mean there was nothing wrong with your DSC unit but it was due to the steering sensor? Where did u get it rectified for your steering sensor?

Thanks

DrD, it was done by K&S auto. They are using Autologic Diagnostic Tool.

My case same as FIRZ67 where DSC error pops out on the iDrive & found out that the steering angle was the culprit...recalibrate back the steering angle sensor solved the problem....nothing wrong with the DSC unit...

DrD, one way to check if the steering angle sensor is the culprit is your signal will not turn off automatically after steering go back to default angle. This is due to the steering angle is unreadable and there is no communication with the DSC control unit.

Hi all :) i have collected my car from K&S Auto and they did a good job even sending my car for a wash too, they have rebuilt my dsc pump at the cost of 2k with 6 mths warranty, car was having the problem for 2 weeks and my brake pedal was till the end and there are alot of air in the brake unit coz of the leaking valve in the DSC pump, will do some testing on my car tomm :)

Yeah ah soon did it for me as well. I'm goin to drop by next week again for my injector problem. :top:

Met ah soon from K&S auto last Saturday...he check with his diagnostic pc and confirm it was the dsc pump and not the steering prob. Very professional and down to earth guy and said can fixed it for 2 k with 6-8 months warranty including changing the brake oils. Best part can do it in one day and he will also recalibrate the dsc pump to the original setting.

Thanks guys for the wonderful info and saving me loads of money!!
