E90 320d : Newbie question

Hi guys,

My name is Amil and I'm in the process of purchasing a 2011 E90 320d. Just finalising some paper work before I start driving this dream car of mine. Just a few questions if I may ask ya

1. Seeing that I am purchasing a second hand car (with full service record from ingress). What should be the first thing I do when I get it? Should I send it for diagnostics? Do I need to do some initial servicing? Car is at abut 80k mileage

2. What are the key things I should watch out for once I reach the 100k mark? What should i be looking at replacing?

3. Where would there be the most reliable mechanics in the PJ / subang area?

5. Understanding that euro 5 should be the only type of diesel that we should be using, is there any update on the potential b10 bio diesel that the government is trying to implement? Heard that the b10 is not meant BMW diesel engines.

hi bro..may to ask, what the price your 2011 320d e90 they offer to u?? that car from private owner or dealer? for your item no, 3 question i think subang bestari has a many workshop..

congrats on ur purchase bro! Where do u live btw? PJ/Subang has quite a number of mechs the members here go to.

its good to have a full service record. perhaps u might want to run through it and see what has been done/changed/replaced. Diagnosing it would also be a good idea, so u'd have an overall idea of the health of the car. but at 80k, most would have changed the fluids (engine, atf, brake) and visual checks on the seals.

also, do join the diesel gang here (Mnr Nik Soh, joonsuan, wuk51 etc) to get things up to speed...

thanks bro gendong...im not collect my car i buy yet, but paid to him a deposit 5k n will collect the car on 1/6/16 after i made a full settlement..test drive the car on 13 april 2016 at Saujana Putra n i feel so exciting n satisfied with the car generally..

Bro gendong. .. would love to join a TT diesel session to find out more about the car and diesel in general... do let me know when and I'll be more than happy to join...

Seeing that I stay in batu 3 shah alam...and would be comfortable with good workshops in subang or PJ area... would there be any specific workshop that you would recommend who would be bake to guide a noob like me out? Other than diagnostics.. anything else I should be doing?

Hi guys,

The car is definitely a dream to drive. Just love the throttle response and the torque is amazing. Such a pleasure driving everyday.

So far, no issues to date la... managed to do my first service (which I actually used 5w40 but I highly recommend going back to 5w30) and changed my rear brakes / discs and sensors and auto fluid

Just worried about the potential b10 implementation moving forward... let's hope consumers will still have a choice in the end la ya...
