Bro, if you're young and energetic, then S60 will NEVER be the choice for you :)

Totally different cars la, in terms of driving pleasure, handling and image. Though 320 might be a little underpowered.

One is designed with assumption that the Earth is flat while the other is designed assuming the Earth is round. What shape is your World? :4:

under power..? so as s60..same cc..2.0cc..does tat mean she will burn more fuel.>?
any idea the mpg @ km/L..?

thoo my world is round ...yet with s60 will make my world look flat thus easy joining
the 'old drivers"...

No idea about S60, but it's turbocharged so chances are it will be less fuel efficient.

u have posted this in a BMW forum, the views would be biased towards the E60.. Well, what else do u expect???
To be more objective in making the decision, I guess u have to ask urself wat are you looking for in each car? There's no bad car, just which one suits u better..
Do a google search on the reviews and spec and maybe long term reviews (if u can find them).
Research on the common problems for both, and wear and tear parts replacement, running costs and resale value...
And not forgetting to test drive both cars to see which one u like better..... No point buying a car based on wat ppl say, u have to drive it to judge for yourself. Everyone has different expectations.

the S60 has LPT (light pressure turbo) for efficiency without compromising on fuel consumption. BMW is going turbo, are u saying that they are less fuel efficient too?? It's all in how it is tuned...

Good comment and i am totally agreed with you bro.

The S60 lines seemingly appeals to me. E90 looks more sportier and appeals to the young at heart, but I can't seem to stop myself from feeling rather affectionate towards cars from Volvo. Ok la, S80 aside.

Come on, 850T wagon! :adore:

One thing about Volvo, the spare parts are difficult to get. against BMW we have plenty of supply.

Go drive the car. I've tried the prev gen S80 with the same 2.0 turbo and have been in the S60 a few times. The 320i by comparison is breathless. Also I feel that the NVH on the S60 is better than the 320i. External wind noise on the E90 above 120km/h is intrusive while the S60 is quiet.

However the floatiness on the Volvo is scary. I drove one down the Besraya highway, my typical travel route and I have zero confidence pushing the car around the corners on the highway. I'm comparing an E90 with M-Sport with a non R Volvo so maybe it's not a fair comparison.

Which also brings up the point, are you looking at the M-Sport or non M-Sport 320i? Quite a big difference in suspension and comfort.

A further point to note, now Volvo is owned by China Company, will the further parts be china made as well??? in order to optimise profit?

S60 rear seat leg room is near inexistent. Why would someone buy a 4 door sedan with a proper rear seat but no place for your to place your legs?

Maybe they just lying down on the rear seat.....:smokin:

The later generation Volvo trying to impress by having a low roof line at the rear which makes it look less squarish but by doing that, the rear seat head room is sacrificed. Therefore to gain head room, they move the rear seat forward. That's why for such a reasonable size sedan, yet you notice the rear leg room is as bad, if not worse than the 1-series. But the 1-series is different because the designer tried to move the cabin towards the rear axle to achieve 50/50 chassis balance for the best driving sensation in the industry. While Volvo does exactly the opposite by shifting seats to the front to gain head room due to the low rear roof line. That actually worsen the already imbalance chassis weight of a front engine front wheel drive car.

Straight line pickup for the turbo s60 is no doubt, very fast but no way this car can match a BMW when it comes to winding roads.

My question about the square and round Earth earlier is actually mean this. Are you the type that love to do straight line sprint or prefer to get a car that steer like it's on rail.

23k is super low mileage for a 06 car.
And this is def imported version.
giving the price and if it really is 23k upon inspection and checking.
I'll say go for it
