E60 Electrical (Aux In) Issue. Any Solutions??

I sent my car to an Opal panel in PJ to claim for the problem on the steering pump last week. Still not settle yet as problem getting a recond part and might need to get a new one. Anyway, I was suppose to take the car back just now pending the shop claim to Opal for a new steering pump. Upon starting the car and putting back all my things in the car, I notice that my Ipod cannot be recognised by the Idrive and can't be "power on" at all. According to the mechanic it could be the cable itself as no fuse or error found when he run the diagnose. My question than, could it be the cable itslef... hard to swallow as before that everything ok ma.. Can I than ask assistance from anyone with 2007 onwards E60 with aux in in his/her car around KJ, Subang or Shah Alam that i can try to plug in my cable to confirm this. Thanks
