Just like to share with you on what I have done recently on my suspension system after using the car for 4 years @km 102,000 Probelm Description : I start to feel my car is a bit spongy, unstable on the uneven road, steering a little bit ratlling in the morning and donr feel like driving above than 200km/hour. What I did1. Change all 4 SACHS absorber cost me RM500/each ( I bought myself)2. Replace the front tension strut bush. Mechanics charged me RM350 each but later I found out the bush just priced at RM85 each. You can change the whole tension strut for RM350. Then I drive the car for 2 weeks. The spongy effect gone but the rattling and unstablity is still there. I asked the machanics to check the front lower control arm but he said still good. After do some homeworks I decided to change the LCA and bought it at RM360 each. Send to mechanics and they asked for RM180 installation. I think it is not worth to spend that much I did it myself and spent 2 hours to complete the job. Then send for allignment. Now feel so much different ... stable on uneven road. Next I want to change the rear upper control arm and the rear tension strut myself. I have check the TIS ...quite simple job. Hope this will benefit the member

Sorry for the shortform. LCA = lower control arm

Yes, I am still in Kulim. Nowhere else to go. Has been a while that I am passive in this forum. Active in Estima and GTI forum. After driving E60 for 4 years, I think there are lot of things I want to share with members
