E46 replacement key!!!

I just bought my E46 330i 2002 recond 2007. And I have only 1 ignition key with remote. 1. Where can I get a full set of the key including master key, valet key and spare key?2. Can I know which shop did the duplication of rechargeable master key in KL/ Selangor area?3. Can I change my master key to E60 type of remote key? How?Thanks in advance...Joel Tee 2010

1) you can get it at the authorised dealers eg Auto Bavaria
2) Need to show proof of ownership to auto bavaria to get a spare key..take the JPJ card along. It will cost in the region of rm1000.00 per key.
3) no, e60 is a keyless entry...different system

Coz I saw some one selling the blank key online but I still can't find if anyone can program the key...
And I saw a custom E60 remote with the ignition key inside. And it says it was programmable and can be use on E46 and so on...
I was confusing by those ads...

The BMW keys come with transponders inside. This transponder must come from BMW Germany that's why its so expensive. Without a transponder, you can open the door but cannot start the car, because the transponder communicates with the car's EWS.

Another thing, if you don't want your car stolen, get your key from AB only because other dealers may keep your key code when programming your key.

Joel, you should at least try to get a spare key from whom you bought the car. (50/50 cost sharing)

I bought it from my friend.. And he also has no idea on where to get a spare key.. And he never mention about getting it from AB also...

If I print money I dun buy E46 liao. Only for key! Have to wait for bout 2 weeks delivery from Germany:sleep:

I don't think the one in ebay have immobilizer circuit in it. I think you have to take out the immobilizer chip from your current key and put it into the new one.. The one from ebay is only come with the key metal and cover. But not sure if there have any other seller selling the key together programmable chip. :smokin:

read from another thread that one can but empty kit from ebay and swap the circuitry around to the new key. am planning to do that myself since the rubber on the remote is 'melting'.

actually i also plan to convert mine old remote casing (picture 1) to new (picture 2). but not sure that can it be fit completely or not. or maybe need some modify? anyone can advise?
