i hav been told the angel eyes cost my rm 400 somewer there..but i guess it doesnt come with the projector.its only the ring...am i rite?

Bro Dwj,

This thread is E46 projector la, not E36
So facelift and non facelift applies to E46.

RM400.00 rings only la. Projector ain't cheap. Not sure the prices for E36.

While doing my own research on E46 projector, I discover a Hella Projector for E36. You can try doing a search for it on google.

Hi Dwj,

CCFL is just the technology. If not mistaken CCFL = Cold Cathode Flourescent Light and is not original BMW equipment. Original equipment is less bright and is made using fibre optic if i remember correctly.

I just klnow that Hella is the OEM company that makes some automotive lighting for some BMW models. I am not sure what technology was used to make their halo rings.

From their website, it looks like a high quality projector lights with rings. Being OEM you will not get leaking issues. Try asking BMW stockist shop like First Division or Bavarian Auto. They might carry it.

Maybe you should open a thread for E36 Projectors.
Sure there are people who have installed a projector of some kind for their E36. I seen some on the road too.

Where did you get your projector lights from? Saw a Johor based company that has e46 projector lights which are OEM which means the angel eyes arent the bright white ones (like CCFL) but the "yellowish" ones....

Sorry for the late reply. Intermittent problems with my internet connection.

E46 dun come with angel eyes. They have to be added. I got mine from First Division.

Most likely you are looking at a taiwanese replica projectors with built in angel eyes for the E46. I saw kat8186 depo projectors and the angel eyes is yellowish.

He was not too happy about the colour of the rings and wanted it change to the brighter white almost immediately.

Yeah, it is the Yellowish lights.... basically gives off the same "look" as the newer models but on an e46 it doesnt quite look "right", if you know what i mean. Besides, the price tag of RM2k for the entire set should be a dead giveaway that its Taiwanese.... lol!
