Dear all sifus,I want to mod my E46 coupe from halogen to xenon projector headlamps. Does anyone have experience with any of the Taiwan made projector headlamps like DEPO or Eagle Eyes? I have been told not to get them as they are known to be of low quality and problematic. Some do not even last 6 mths. Another alternative I have seen on this forum is retrofit. There are professionals that do it and is cheaper. My question is, which is the better option? Taiwan made eagle eyes/depo or retrofitting? Which is more reliable in the longer run? I think the OEMs are bout RM3k for a pair. Thx.

looks nice, but dun think i have the patience nor the skills to do it myself. anybody can recommend any shop? thx.

I m thinking of changing my head light to projector headlight.. Current one is non projector (halogen?).
1. Will there any issue of compatibility?
2. Should i expect warning light to appear on the instrument cluster (broken bulb light)?

Mine is eagle eyes, facelift. I got the left hand drive one. I had to open the glued cover and then cut the metal plate, so the light pattern suit Right hand drive. Be aware if you get the aftermarket projector headlight, make sure it is for RHD. If your headlight cover is blurred already due to the UV, I suggest you get the after market one. A refresh look to the car with projector. No warning light if you use halogen bulb + projector.
I changed the halogen to 6000K HID, look cool. I get warning occasionally even though the HID come with canbus error free. I use the scanner to deactivate the headlight checking, use my eyes to do auto checking !
