Has anyone with E46 325 experienced such problem that I had in the least two days? When I started the car in the morning, everything is fine. However, if I stop and restart the engine within a short while, when I step on the accelerator, the engine went dead. I got to restart twice to get the engine running again. Although the engine runs, it lacks the power to go beyond 3000 rpm. There is a drag at 3000rpm b4 kick down to accelerate. The funny thing is when I restart the car the following morning, the problem disappears.Anyone has this problem?

No i havent experienced it. which i hope i never dO.....

hope u work out whats wrong. do tell whats wrong when u find out okay.....

Neither for me..... Keep us updated on the cause for this. I know JPB had problems with his crankshaft sensor or something before. Not sure about the symptoms tho.

No such problem with mine so far too.
Hopefully it's just a transient hiccup in you case bro....
Yeah,do let us know if it's otherwise.
Good luck.

kinda had the same prob but mine was a bit different.

mine would start, rev etc, but as soon as i engage a gear, the engine would stall.

FIX: Faulty sensor in the engine bay.

400+ for the sensor and another 400+ for labour. SHEEEEEESH! :(

Yeah. I've had a zillion problems with sensors but never experienced this symptom before. Funny how some 'sensor' pwobwem can easily be solved using MODIC and deleting the error messages. It sounds like an electronic problem. Please keep us updated once you find out more. Sorry, we can't figure it out this time.

final final update - The problem is solved after AB did a diagnostic check. The camshaft pulse generator is the cause of the problem. It costs RM410 excluding the ever expensive labour charge from AB!
