about every 40k, you need to change the clutch and actuator. Cost about RM 8k at AB.

mine is 100k with all above + ECU and the gearbox.

Heres the history of my 2002 e46 325i SSG checks/repairs:


20/06/2006: (43217kms) Programming/replacing SMG control unit (AB Segambut)

17/08/2006: (45771kms) Check function of DME (AB Segambut)

17/08/2006: (45772kms) Replace clutch drive plate, renew clutch actuator & check SMG function, program/encode DME status (AB Segambut)

24/11/2007: (75834kms) Replace SMG expansion tank & check function (AB Segambut)

17/09/2008: (90332kms) Renew gearbox hydraulic pump (AB Segambut)

31 Jan 2009: (95555kms) QAF Auto S/B BRUNEI. Check function of SSG & top up 1 litre gear shift hydraulic fluid
