Would be great if someone could assist me.Car overheated and shorted the ecu last week and have got it repaired except for the ecu. Apparently my ecu DME 1430940 Bosch C.Jr 46473 is not available locally and the only ones available are japan spec ecu's.Have fitted the japan spec ecu it works but no pick up.Could anyone advice? Have tried bavarian for the part but no luck.

that's what i thought too, till the mech showed me the burned ecu.
Cost a bomb to get it fixed. It meant overhauling the engine as the gasket got burned, had to changed the radiator bcoz it burst, the water container and whle host of parts. Sigh .... i suppose it's the price to pay. The mech has got the car working but there just no pickup but the engine is very smooth now.
Any advice would be appreciated
