E46 2002 Acquisition - Need Help

Hi All,

This might have the most over-asked question but I am unable to find the thread on this. It may be also outdated now.

Anyway, I plan to get 2002 E46 325 which is now going for about RM 20k++ cash buy. I will be taking the car to see a specialist before signing the dotted line.

However, as pre-screen measure, any advice. If not, I will need to send a couple of cars to the specialist.

Whats is the annual maintenance cost?

Most important, what is a budget and what needs to be done upon getting the carr?

Previous owner S60 2.0T, so I am quiet familiar the cost wise.

The initial cost is quite high unless the previous owner can produce receipt for all the part changed.

To be safe if no history.
1. Change all water hoses, thermostat, water pump, expansion tank and radiator
2. Change spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter
3. Change ATF oil and filter for GB
4. Change engine oil (must)
5. Change power steering oil and filter
6. Change brake fluid.
7. check brake pad and disc.
