Option 2For pre 10/2000 build date...and you have the round 20 pin DLC connector in the engine bay.Instructions are at this link on how to reset SI lights (scroll down past oil change instructions): http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3134093/5WARNING: short any pins OTHER THAN #7 & #19...YOUR MISTAKE...YOUR FAULT! The pins are identified with their pin number next to them...CHECK & DOUBLE CHECK...then mark them with a paint stick or your wife's/daughter's/girlfriend's/mother's/or your own fingernail polish so that you won't make a mistake the first time or next time you reset the SI lights .

this procedure has been my practice on my previous e30,e34 and current e39.just short the related pins at the connector in the engine bay to reset the light.but like the procedure warn....don't cucuk the wrong pins!i have even tried,on my e34,cranking the starter by shorting some of these pins.
but now since i have the paSoft progamme on my lappy,i reset thru this lah.......professional sikit....konon nya lah......:sleep:

I just reset mine [E90] last nite. Oil change last month but didn't reset. So the warning finally come up and wife been complaining cause the alarm irritates her.. :p When I reset, OBC counter already at -90km.. :4:

... but E90 reset senang la. Just use the odo trip on the dash and OBC reset button on the stalk. x main cucuk.. :4:
