Just a note ....not all pressure leads to the actual cause findings immediately ....would be best to check ya tank every morning for a week or 2 ...and also do check ya driveway for traces of coolant ...

Hi all some updates on my e39 today...
After 2 days of makan kenduri so today got some times off for my DIY session...
To replace fuel door lid actuator...

Old actuator remove from bracket...

Old & New actuator...
Top New below Old...

The bracket & Cable...

New actuator fitted to bracket with the cable & emergency cable...

Guide grommet taken out from body by turning anti-clockwise...

Since the space is quite limited so need some help here...
Push in the water pipe thru the grommet hole...

Connect the pipe to the end of the cable...
Then pull the pipe thru the grommet hole...

Fit the cable thru the grommet and install back the grommet by turning clockwise...

Then test for functining the locking cable must comes out like this...

Adjust the locking cable so that it will lock nicely by this 2 screws...

Now more secure with the fuel door lid is lock every times the car is lock...cheers...:top:
Total cost rm140 & time half an hour...
