E39 530i Conversion

Hi,

I'm planning to get a cheap 520i/523i/528i pre-facelift and convert that to an E39 530i (halfcut).

1. Is this possible or should I get a post-facelift model instead?
2. What will be the average cost for a 530i halfcut now?
3. How much will it cost me for the conversion (labour etc.)?
4. Parts that I should change new during the conversion project (hosts, cooling system, etc.)?

for the facelifted model 2003 are selling some less than 40k. conversion cost should be no less than 20k including engine that has not be added the maintenance parts you are talking about. is best you straight look for original 530i

Thanks sewell for the info. Its hard to find 530i auto. Everywhere I look I can only find 528i. There is 1 530i in mudah currently advertised but initially I thought cheap body + conversion would make sense. But after reading your comment might need to change my strategy.

Yeah saw that car but its manual (too much fun) that turns me off. I'm planning to use it for daily driver... dah tua kaki tak kuat.
