E39 528/530 Market Price 2010?

I have read a lot about how the E39 is probably the best used car in the market. Prices I think range b/w RM40-110k. I have always been a 3 series man despite being almost 6 feet tall and weighing 90++kgs. Last week, one of the guys in my parking lot drove to work his 1997 E39 528. It looked very good. That started me thinking of a E39. Hence my question. Whats the market price of a E39. 528 - 96/97/98- ?530 -00/01/02-? Also when did the FL happen...what diffrence? 528 vs 530 = abt RM50k vs RM100k......is it worth the difference? Thanks.

anyway at RM50k or less, a 1997 528 looks attractive as I would be able to once again buy cash w/o having to worry of monthly instalments.

Hey guys, i have a E39 Dec 2nd 1996, fully restored, M52B28 rebuilt to the last bearing and gasket.. slightly port and polished. skimmed head for higher compression.

Customised Color and with lots of gadgets.. AC 18 rims... soundstream speakers & Amp.. Alpine 9887 Sattelite ready radio bla bla bla... but its a bimmer .. so who cares about those.. And those who knows bimmers.. should appreciate the Titan & koni Suspension that i have put in.

Some people say i am crazy asking for 58K for it, but for someone who understand this car, will totally appreciate the TLC & $$ spent on it (about 30K). I have put on mudah for a few days.. and guess what.. i cant make myself selling it to just anyone... she needs a new daddy!


It is painful to let it go .. but i need a new project .. yes baby.. E38 750iL Bond Version .. individual spec.

Do let me know if anyone of you would like to take a look.. wouldnt hurt would it?.. just to take a look.. am proud to show her off anyway!

Sorry to borrow this thread a bit, I recently offering a seller for a E39 98/01 523i UK spec 130k km for 53k is it too many. It came with a 18" ACS rim but not not sure whether a original one.
